Tamar Frank: Lampyris Noctiluca (500 LED lights, 2012)
A light installation created for the festival Into the Great Wide Open 2012 on vlieland. 500 lamps were installed between the reeds of a lake inlet. When people approached the work motion sensors triggered a dynamic making the lights move around like a swarm of fireflies.

This is a little something from a project we’ve been cultivating for a little while now. We’re pretty proud of how it’s shaping out.
It’s a double exposure created in Photoshop (not in-camera) of a medium format shot from last winter and a digital shot taken this summer in Cape Cod.
